Mobile Point of Sale: Future Market Growth & Enterprise Benefits
When it comes to conducting business nowadays, technology is key. For a retailer, omnichannel retailing, click and collect and in store tech including mobile point of sale (mPOS) enhances brand touchpoints and the customer journey. However, you might be wondering about the future of mPOS; is it here to stay? The team from Eurostop has helped businesses of every shape and size implement mPOS solutions and we’ve collected some insight about the technology here. Below you’ll find some of the benefits mPOS offers and more. What Exactly is mPOS? Before diving into the details, it’s beneficial to learn a bit more about the specifics of mPOS. In the simplest of terms, it encompasses any mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) designed to take the place of a traditional cash register. A retailer would require internet connection, a card reader, and a POS app. Barcode scanners can also be connected. Some vendors, like Eurostop, can even provide a single solution, all in one device that has built in scan engine and integrated payments, so that you don’t need to worry about connection to other devices, truly optimising mobility and convenience. Cloud-connected business management systems have enabled retailers the flexibility to move away from the traditional stationary transaction system, affording options for customers to purchase what they need and for businesses more flexibility when offering their goods and services. mPOS solutions make it easy for retail stores to deliver a personalised service and interact with customers anywhere on the shop floor. They can easily refer to their mPOS system to answer questions, check product inventories, process sales and more. Why Are mPOS Systems Growing in Popularity? Some of the key reasons why mPOS is becoming ever-popular worldwide are because: In a connected world, consumers are looking for an enhanced in store experience. Not only is convenience key, but a personalised service is paramount. mPOS allows retailers to scale up during busy periods, minimising queues, and being able to offer great customer service anywhere in the store. In the wake of COVID-19, mPOS can also assist with social distancing measures with increased security measures required in stores. The universal acceptance of EMV card standards. The growing rise in digital payments, including mobile wallet and high-value credit card payments. Increased global efforts by governments to promote cashless transactions. The low cost and easy implementation of mPOS systems. The value-added services mPOS solutions automatically offer. Other Benefits of mPOS Implementation You might be wondering if there are additional benefits to implementing the mPOS solutions available from our team of experts, and we’re happy to declare that there are. In addition to the advantages already mentioned above, the right mPOS system can make it easier to scale up with demand. Contact Eurostop for mPOS solutions today! Singaporean ladies’ shoe designer invests in latest technology to support ambitious international growth plans Singaporean ladies’ shoe designer Pazzion has selected Eurostop’s retail management solution to support the company’s ambitious growth plans. The trend-setting footwear retailer is using e-rmis for its head office system in Singapore and e-pos to support stock control and merchandising across the company’s eight stores in Singapore located at some of the most prestigious retail destinations on the island. Both systems link seamlessly together to create a highly efficient retail management framework that boosts productivity and ultimately improves customer service. In just twelve years since being founded in 2001, Pazzion has established a far-reaching international presence with operations in Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. As the company grew, it took the decision to introduce an automated approach and set out to find a specialist retail solution that could support an increasingly diverse customer base, multiple languages as well as different countries and time zones. After evaluating several vendors, Pazzion selected Eurostop. According to the Merchandising Team at Pazzion, Eurostop matched the company’s requirements perfectly, providing a fully automated, highly intelligent system to facilitate stock control processes. Another deciding factor was Eurostop’s proven track record in the global clothing and footwear arena whilst their network of newly opened offices in Asia served to underline their dedicated support and commitment to the region. One of the greatest benefits of using Eurostop is the advanced reporting capabilities provided by the system. Eurostop captures accurate sales data which Pazzion can then translate into meaningful statistics that improve strategic decision-making and aid forward planning. Harris Muk, Sales Manager at Eurostop concluded, “By tapping into the sales data reports produced by Eurostop, dynamic retailers such as Pazzion can quickly identify which products are the hot sellers in different stores. This means they can deliver highly targeted and impactful promotional campaigns that actively drive new revenues. Eurostop systems prove right fit for Irregular Choice
Irregular Choice has selected Eurostop retail management and electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) systems for its rapidly growing e-commerce business and international store expansion. Retail Technology Circulation: Industry eNewsletter & website Cult footwear designer, Irregular Choice has selected Eurostop retail management and electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) systems for its rapidly growing e-commerce business and international store expansion. Irregular Choice has already installed the Eurostop system at its internet and clearance store in Brighton and has plans to roll it out to the company’s flagship stores in Carnaby Street, London and New York during 2010. After evaluating four vendors in the marketplace, Irregular Choice chose Eurostop to replace its original PayGo system for its ease of use, aesthetic look and feel, round-the-clock worldwide support, ability to integrate with and link together all PoS tills and offer multi-currency options at the click of a button. Irregular Choice commented: “Eurostop came out the overall winner. It was the only company that could show a live working demonstration and their product knowledge was fantastic. The system is very user-friendly and has been well received by staff. In fact, it is so easy to use that we intend to install it ourselves when we introduce it to our stores in London and New York next year.” Carpenter-Johnson continued: “Typically, we introduce 500 new products every season and details of every product have to be scanned, loaded into our stock taking software and tracked, so that we can offer an efficient ordering and delivery experience to our customers. “We also need to price our merchandise in UK sterling and US dollars. With Eurostop, we don’t have to programme our tills differently in each country. We can enter multiple currencies and sell directly at the click of a button. All we have to do is switch on the tills. Eurostop provides us with a fully integrated system that can download and update our stock information quickly and in the format we want.” The Eurostop system also provides management reporting and enables the retailer to control all inventory centrally from one location. In future, Irregular Choice intends to expand the use of the Eurostop system to its full capacity, linking together all stores and removing all manual processes completely. Currently, all stock data is processed and amalgamated in China overnight for use by head office the following morning. When the Eurostop system is deployed in London and New York during 2010, Irregular Choice will have access to all data in real-time providing more accurate management of stock levels and inventory and resulting in significant savings for the business longer-term.
