Eurostop, the leading supplier to the fashion, footwear and lifestyle sectors has announced that the Thursford Collection, located in Norfolk, is gearing up for the Christmas season with retail management systems for its attraction centre. Thursford Collection has invested in Eurostop to manage sales at its till points for its museum tours and its range of gift shops, Pantry and Christmas collections. The company chose Eurostop for its flexibility, enabling it to increase sales during the Christmas season, when its annual Christmas Spectacular attracts thousands of new visitors who book months in advance.
As well as its steam engines and fairground attractions, the Thursford Collection houses one of the biggest Christmas stores in the country with thousands of items including decorations, tableware, gifts, toys and Christmas accessories. The company uses Eurostop’s e-rmis and e-pos solutions to capture sales at till point in all its shops and to manage the many line items increased during the Christmas season.
Enid Griffiths, Stock Controller at Thursford Collection said; “We did all our buying for the Christmas season in the Spring ready for the Autumn when it is our busiest time as we increase our new stock with thousands of additional new lines.
“The stock take is now much easier, quicker and more accurate as I can scan everything. We can keep control of stock which we just couldn’t do before and it’s also so much easier for people to pay. With an average of 5000 visitors a day during November and December, it’s really important we can provide good customer service.”
Deborah Loh, Marketing Manager at Eurostop said; “Christmas is a busy time for retailers and for companies like the Thursford Collection it features as the busiest time along with the summer holidays when it attracts thousands more visitors preparing and enjoying the Christmas break. Our retail systems help retailers to manage sales of large numbers of stock items and streamline customer service.”
